If there is one question for which every woman wants an answer is what men want. This question crops up in the mind of every woman be it be a teenager going on her first date; a newly wedded wife getting ready for her husband to return from work; a single woman waiting to find the right man; a divorcee trying to rebuild her life.

This question has been asked by women in the past, and will be asked by women in the future too. It is a question that has no easy answers; with each relationship being completely different from another. 1. Sex

3. Homemakers
Should women be great cooks to win acceptance?
Should women alone be expected to keep house?

Today’s men respect the ambitions of women. They don’t want to relegate their wives to the role of a domestic help. They would like their women to do well in life. However, they would not like this to happen at the cost of their own careers.

Most women must realize that every man wants to be the main breadwinner. His male ego gets hurt if he has to depend on his wife to run the home. He would certainly expect his wife to cook for him on at least three to four days a week. He would also expect women to keep the home clean and well kept. The best that a man is willing to do is to extend a helping hand. But the woman has to be the main homemaker.

4. Emotional support
Should women give advice?
Are men open to points of view given by women?

Once again the male ego is too vain. It is not willing to listen easily to the advice given by better halves. Almost every man goes on the defensive when the woman he loves wants to correct him. He may accept the same advice from another male; but would be very reluctant to do so from a woman.

Women should therefore be careful. They should make men feel they can climb Mount Everest, if need be. They must encourage them by constantly telling them how much confidence they have in them. This will bring the best out of every man.

6. Private space
Why do men need time for themselves?
Are they hiding something?

They should not rush into their arms the moment they come home, and expect them to unburden themselves. Instead, they should wait for the right time when the man is more ready to share his inner thoughts. Even here, it is important to be patient, and encouraging. Don’t find faults with your man’s thinking; the chances are that he may shut himself off. Each man needs space to sort his thoughts. A woman can help him by being encouraging and understanding.

7. Respect
Do men need more respect than women?
How should a woman behave?

Finally, both men and women need respect if the relationship is to survive. This can only happen if a woman is willing to listen to her man. Also, a woman should respect a man’s interests even though they may be widely different from her. She should allow him necessary space to follow his interests which may be sports, politics or cards.

Today the cry is from the lawyers… and it goes like this… “send clients, time and money.

Maybe the legal industry should consider asking Warren to re-write his song especially for them. A song that will help lawyers obtain new quality clients who can pay their bills while giving lawyers more time.

The ultra-ultra competitive legal industry is awash in all kind of headaches which make the day-to-day life of practicing law not much fun.

Finding new quality clients is almost a full-time job. There are so many legal specialties flooded with other lawyers offering the same specialty that the public is taking the Wal-Mart approach and buying from the lowest-cost provider.

Unfortunately this pattern just makes things worse, as lawyers feel the pressure to compete on price…so they lower their fees, which causes their competitors to do the same.

Ultimately this produces a downward spiral for legal fees which benefits the public (maybe) but hurts law practices.

Today’s legal client has the same problems as yesterday’s legal client had but… they want more-for- less and they don’t even want to pay for it.

These new clients are well informed, they’re internet savvy, they ask for discounts and they shop for lawyers like they shop for a new TV.

When they finally make a decision to retain a lawyer…they start acting like they are the only client the lawyer has. They expect their new lawyer to take their endless phone calls, get their case filed or settled overnight, balk at retainers and slow pay or no pay on future invoices.

But wait there is more…because many lawyers feel forced into taking these new clients at low fees, they often find themselves working on cases which won’t make them any money.

Once a lawyer gets to this point…it’s not good for the client or the lawyer. The lawyer realizes that they can’t put anymore time into a case, as the client is not going to pay more…so they want to end the case as soon as possible and get it off their desk.

The client is still thinking (hoping) for the best possible outcome (typically very unreasonable) and the lawyer simply wants the case over. The lawyer feels bad about the case as it’s become a financial train wreck and they realize they should have charged the client a much higher fee.

The bottom line is most Lawyers are working harder today and making less than they were 10 years ago. The hourly rates they quote are often not realized and if they are it’s because of a huge amount of personal effort being expended each hour. Something most lawyers can’t keep up for long.

I’ve been publishing a newsletter for over 6 years and I’ve been actively marketing and running an online business for almost 8… needless to say, I’ve seen a lot of trends come and go and definitely know all about lulls and surges.

I know all of us would like more surges and if you’re like me, you tend to get a little discouraged at first when you start to feel the effects of the lulls. This is normal and although they say you get used to it as time goes on, I have to say I still get discouraged every year around this time, but I’ve since learned how to deal with it a little more positively.

Since my slow season hits with a bang, I would quickly forget how much I complained about having no time and being extremely stressed during the surge. So now I try to think of it as the The Eye of the Storm … calm, quiet, but with the promise of a surge to come.

Yes, it’s true… there are those big gurus who claim to still surge no matter what time of year it is — and I don’t doubt them — but for people like you and me, it just doesn’t happen no matter how hard you try or how hard you work. I’ll admit that my lull isn’t as slow as it used to be since my name has gotten out there a bit, but it’s STILL slower than any other time of year.

When I first started experiencing this, I was mad with ambition to get my business and traffic back to par. I wasn’t going to stand for the lull theory… no way! I spent literally thousands on marketing, TONS of time spitting out new products and services, and basically worked myself to death…

Did I get more business? Did I get more traffic? Well, yes but not NEAR worth what I spent to get it! I ended up losing a lot of money that year — something I could have avoided if I would just accept it and leave it be.

It definitely taught me a lesson. For the last few years, I’ve just accepted it and I cease the flow of any marketing dollars or time spent on launching new products or services. What do I do with my time? I work on improving any existing products and services and I clean up. I’ve found that it’s the best time to get things ready for the surge and the best time to take a little time off and enjoy what my success has afforded me. I do what all my potential but non-buying customers are doing… I spend time with my family and spend my money on Christmas gifts and donations.

If you can’t deal with that or you absolutely have to keep making that surge money to make ends meet, find a niche product or service that will do well around this time of year — like a cookbook, gift site, or similiar service.

I have some big gurus as subscribers and if you’re one of those that never has a slow season then I’ll be honest, I’m jealous! But for the majority of us, it’s inevitable and something we will probably never overcome.

So swallow the jagged pill and don’t try to beat it. Remember that it is NOT the end of the world or your business — just the The Eye of the Storm . ENJOY it and use it as a time for rest, relaxation, and getting your mind, body, and business ready for the upcoming chaos.

There are all kinds of business-related collateral. Perhaps the most recognizable is real estate - the land a business owns. Some of the most interesting cases, however, deal with personal property collateral, which can be any property imaginable that is owned by a business - a fleet of cars, office furniture or intangibles such as accounts receivable.

Lien. A lien is a description of an encumbrance on property: “a claim . . . on property for payment of some debt.” Black’s. In the context of my blog, a lien arises by written contract between a lender and a borrower - either a real estate mortgage agreement or a personal property security agreement. The lien granted by a borrower to a lender gives a lender the right to foreclose upon the subject property (collateral) for payment of the debt in the event of a default.

Commercial foreclosure. Turning again to Black’s, a foreclosure is defined, in part, as the “enforcement of a lien . . . or mortgage . . ..” Paraphrasing Black’s, foreclosure is the legal process by which real or personal property subject to a lien is sold in satisfaction of a debt. To foreclose means to terminate a borrower’s rights in the subject property. A foreclosure that is commercial merely refers to the termination of a business borrower’s rights in its property.

A form of collection. Commercial foreclosure law is a special kind of collection law. It’s a body of rules governing how banks and financial institutions recover money by asserting rights in, and selling, collateral that a business granted to secure the loan. It’s the set of legal principles applicable to a lender needing to collect money owed by a business, which failed to make its loan payments or otherwise defaulted under the terms of the loan documents. It is not easy to trust people especially if you are going to leave them with your valuables and the pet you dearly love. Make sure you do as much of a background check as possible and always check references. Ask the former clients they listed as a reference about their personality and overall performance since they already have experience with their services. Don’t be afraid to ask for an appointment with the pet sitter before you entrust your pet to her. This is a great way for you to get to know the pet sitter you are looking to hire. Once you feel like that the pet sitter can be trusted, ask her how she is going to go about carrying for your dog.

The purpose of you getting a pet sitter is for your pet to have somebody to look after her when you are away. The pet sitter’s main tasks are to provide your pet with fresh water, food and plenty of attention, playtime and outdoor time. She may also turn lights on and off, collect mail and take out the trash for you if make arrangements for them to do so. Most importantly, she should be able to assure you of the safety of your dog while you are away. Make sure you discuss everything you expect of your pet sitter to avoid misunderstandings.

The number of visits of your pet sitter to your pet will depend on the kind of pet you have. If you have a dog, pet sitters usually suggest two visits per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. For healthy cats one visit per day will do. Still these will be open to changes depending on your arrangement with your pet sitter. You should not forget to leave a contact number of the place where you are going to stay in order for your pet sitter to reach if ever there are emergencies that will arise. Lastly, inform your pet sitter of some special care you have for your pet before you leave your pet to your pet sitter.

Entrusting your pet to your pet sitter or any body else for that matter entails risk. However, be sure you take into consideration the experience, insurance, trustworthiness and personal care before hiring a pet sitter in order to minimize risk. If you do not want to entrust your pet to a personal sitter, then you may want to consider a secure boarding environment. Today’s boarding facilities offer a much improved, more securely regulated environment than before.
